    Abstract: æœ¬è¨ˆåŠƒä»¥è’å°‹ã€è³¼ç½®ã€Œç¤¾æœƒå­¸ç†è«–」及「社會學史」領域的重要著作為目標。圖書的蒐尋與購置策略，係以社會學發展的歷史脈絡（時間）與文化地區（空間），並輔以重要理論家或學派所編織而成的系譜。就時間的向度，本計劃將社會學發展史大致區分為三個時期：（1）古典時期（約為十九世紀中葉至第一次世界大戰結束），在此期間，社會學誕生並制度化為一門獨立自主的學科；（2）現代時期（約為第一次世界大戰結束至一九八零年代），在此期間，社會學經歷、反映，也回應了時代的變化；（3）後現代時期（約為一九八零年代之後迄今），在此期間，社會學結合了其他領域，並對現代性的後果提出回應。就空間的向度，本計劃以社會學的三大文化發源地──德國、法國（含義大利），以及英、美國──為範疇。最後將重要的社會學理論家、學派一一安置於由上述歷史分期與文化地區所交織而成的系譜之中。也因此本計劃的執行時間擬訂為三年，每年處理一個文化地區，依序為德語、法義語、英美語文化地區的社會學理論與社會學史。此外，本計劃並增添工具書（百科全書、手冊、字辭典），以及關於社會學史、社會學理論的一般書目，以利書目的擴大蒐尋。如是的蒐尋與購置社會學理論與社會學史經典書目的構想與策略，一方面能以綜覽社會學發展史的系譜，涵蓋所有重要的社會學理論與學派；另一方面，有利於書目系統性地蒐尋與購置。
    The aim of this project will search and collect the literature on “Sociological Theory”and “History of Sociology”. The strategy of this search and collection is combined the historical context (time) and cultural regions (space) in the development of sociology, then the significant theorists and schools will be settled into this genealogical constellation. On the time-dimension, this project divides the development of sociology into three periods, namely (1) classic period (ca. 1850-1918), (2) modern period (ca. 1918-1980), and (3) postmodern period (ca. since 1980). On the space-dimension, this project will search and collect the literature according to the three cultural sources: German, French (inclusive of Italian), and English / American. Therefore this project will be planed in three years to search and collect the literature. Every year will be focused one cultural region. This project will also search and collect the encyclopedias, handbooks, and lexicons, and also the literature about the sociological theory and history of sociology in general, in order that the further search and collection will be enlarged and completed. The idea and strategy of this project would present a summary genealogical picture of the development of sociology, in order to the significant theorists and schools completely to arrange on the one hand, and the literature systematically to research and collect on the other hand.
