摘要本文以2004~2008年239家台灣資訊電子業(IE)共計915筆非平衡追蹤資料,利用主成份分析法將大陸資產佔資產總額比率(FCTA)、其他地區資產佔資產總額比率(FFTA)、大陸子公司(NC)與其他地區子公司(NF)萃取成單一國際化指標(INT),並以「存量」的觀念建構創新活動與品牌權益之變數,利用隨機邊界生產函數與Tobit迴歸模型,來探討微笑曲線與技術效率之關聯性,並以國際化為中介效果探討微笑曲線的兩端技術效率的變化,最後以無母數檢定法檢定國際化程度與技術效率是否有顯著的影響。研究結果發現(1) 台灣資訊電子業勞力與資產投入量對附加價值產出量呈顯著的正相關,而在CD生產函數中勞動與資產的係數相加小於1,故生產技術呈規模報酬遞減,表示台灣資訊電子業如果要達到最適規模,還有改善效率的空間。 (2)國際化程度與廠商的技術效率呈負相關,代表台灣資訊電子業國際化目前海外投資還沒有到回收的階段,仍處於國際化劣勢。(3)創新活動與技術效率呈正相關,代表研發有利於技術效率的增加;而創新活動中介國際化與技術效率是顯著的負相關,代表國內的研發中介國際化會降低技術效率。(4)品牌權益與技術效率呈顯著正相關,代表台灣資訊電子業走品牌路線是可以提升技術效率;而品牌權益中介國際化與技術效率是顯著正相關,表示台灣品牌若走上國際是可以對技術效率是有加乘效果。 (5)整合本文之實證結果,發現台灣資訊電子業可藉由微笑曲線右端之品牌權益(OBM)與國際化策略來搭配來提升技術效率的創造;而微笑曲線左端創新活動(ODM)中介國際化,反而降低了技術效率的創造。(6) 以無母數檢定法檢定國際化程度與技術效率皆呈顯著差異,且國際化程度與技術效率負相關,表示目前台灣資訊電子業國際化程度愈高,技術效率值愈低,說明了目前台灣資訊電子業仍處於國際劣勢。 AbstractThis thesis is to study Smiling Curve and Technology Efficiency which Imediating Effect of Internationalization .Using Taiwan’s Information-Electronic (IE) Industry 2004~2008 total 5 year’s data and 239 companys sample. Integrating data 4 to 1, applying the principal component analysis, four internationalization indexes, China assets ratio (FCTA), oversea assets ratio (FFTA) , China branches (NC) and oversea branches (NF) into single index (INT). Innovation activities and brand equity is constructed by concept of stock. The R&D stock and the patent stock be regarded as a proxy variable for innovation activities. Buildng stochastic frontier production function and Tobit regression model to explain smiling curve and technology efficiency which imediating effect of internationalization. Finally using Kruskal-Wallis nonparametric test to test the level of internationalization and technology efficiency if have Significant relationship. The results show that(1) From stochastic frontier production function,the manpower input(LL) and asset input (LK) will increase value-added,and the production scale is degree because the coefficient of LL and LK we added is lower than 1 (2)Internationalization will degree technology efficiency (3) Innovation activities and brand equity will increase technology efficiency (4) Imediating internationalization we find that brand equity will increase technology efficiency but innovation activities have no effect of internationalization. (5) Conclusion of this study we find Taiwan’s IE industry can run the smiling curve right side (OBM) and immediate internationalization effect to improve technology efficiency to get rid of low profit ratio (OEM) situation. At the present stage innovation activities (ODM) is limit in Taiwan to increase technology efficiency . (6)Using Non-parametric test the degree of internationalization and technical efficiency if highly significant differences. The result is that the degree of internationalization is relative to the technical efficiency and the lower the degree of internationalization is ,the higher technical efficiency is.
