    Abstract: 「東海大學K-16深耕4E研究計畫」強調從幼稚園到大學(K-16),4E代表Ecology、Energy、Environment與Education,計畫主旨為整合學校各領域專家及資源,發展幼稚園到大學一連貫之節能減碳教育,進而推廣到他校及社區。本計畫為期兩年,第一年為基礎期,主要是讓學生認識基礎知識,調查學生的能源素養與行為現況,建立國中小學節能減碳能力指標,依其指標設計各年段的教學活動,於附小、附中進行融入式及專題式的節能教育;大學部以環境科學系所為基石,設立「綠能學程」並輔以工業設計落實在日常生活的商品設計,此外,東海大學透過分析比對校園現有節能減碳硬體設備的效能,建立節能校園之管理系統與成效評估機制。第二年為推廣期,除持續推動各子計畫之主題,同時透過專屬節能教育知識平台,呈現整體計畫成果與活動消息,集結多媒體教材,分享研發成果,並藉由探討能源素養高低對於民眾節能減碳行為影響的因素,制定客製化的行銷以及推廣策略,使節能減碳理念得以推廣並延續。
    Tunghai University’s ’4E Project on K-16 Energy Education’ aims to develop curricula on energy conservation tailored for students from kindergarten through college levels, and to promote extended education through organizing or participating community activities. The project in its initial year focused on gaining a general understanding of the perception and behavioral response of the students on the importance of energy conservation and its environmental impact, and to develop an assessment protocol to measure the educational outcome on energy conservation. The curricula developed for students in primary and middle schools were thematic-based such that student participation and interaction are emphasized, whereas college-level programs were knowledge-based such that students are to receive the most current knowledge on energy-related fields. In addition, an improved campus energy management system was implemented for both educational and practical purposes. Year 2 of the project builds on the outcome from Year 1, but with concerted effort to develop a learning and promotional electronic platform specific for energy conservation and low-carbon society. This platform gathers multi-media teaching tools and the latest research results, and is tailored for promotional and educational events with various backgrounds of audience and participants.
