If the mechanical design method of traditional infrastructures is based on linear system and according to the principles of mobile trajectory distribution and conflict reduction, the precious lesson brought by landscape to us is that the potential of connection is realized not through lineation but the expansionary groundenvironment. The earth's surface is the domain of landscape, the ground environment that is curve or folded is relative to perpendicularity of buildings, and reconnects the divided space. From the operation of ground connectivity, the specific materialization of vertical axis is building, while the specific materialization of horizontal axis is landscape and infrastructure. This concept views base as a continuous matrix system, every part can be divided into mobile trajectory, building, infrastructure or open space. Horizontal and vertical dimensions knit together, and both are viewed as spatial matter.
