    Abstract: 本研究採質性研究方法,深入探討癌症病友團體之志工參與志願服務的動機,以及病友志工於服務過程中的收穫與影響,並探究持續參與志願服務的動力,進行深度訪談,共訪談9位病友志工,根據訪談大綱,進行半結構訪談、錄音、逐字稿分析與編碼,研究結果歸納如下:一、病友志工初始參與動機包括利己動機、利他動機等兩大動機。二、病友志工投入志願服務過程中的收穫與影響為肯定自我價值、改善人際關係、提升生活質量等三方面。三、病友志工能夠長期持續參與的動力分別為個人因素、他人因素、組織因素等三個因素。本研究呈現病友志工參與志願服務的真實經驗,有助於非營利組織對志工持續參與的實質內涵有更深的了解,並供非營利組織日後推展志願服務之參考,而能有效降低志工流失率或增加志工留任率。最後根據文獻分析、研究結果與發現,就病友志工、非營利組織及後續研究等三方面提出建議。
    The purpose of the study is to investigate the motivation of the patient groups who were engaged in voluntary service, and what impact and reward they obtained from the volunteer service. This qualitative research was adopted in-depth interviews with nine volunteers of target association. The design of interview outline is semi-structured. The interview was recorded for following coding and content analyzing. The research findings were concluded as:1. The initial motivations of patient volunteers are concluded as egoistic and altruistic types.2. The impact and reward of patient volunteers are “assuring self-worth, improving personal relationship, and promoting life quality.”3. The motivation of patient volunteers for long-term participation are related to “personal, interpersonal and organizational factor.” This research revealed the real experience of patient volunteers, which provides a deeper understanding of their continuous participation. It also provides practical recommendations for the non-profit organizations in promoting voluntary service in the future. Moreover, the research findings are helpful to decrease the turnover rate, or to increase the retention rate. Finally, this research concluded recommendations for the patient volunteers, the non-profit organizations, and the follow-up research.
