People might be curious that how come the mountain and the Sea are consistently appearing in my works. When I talked about my works, I couldn’t stop mention about the relationship of my art pieces and my hometown. I drew the majority of inspirations from my hometown. It’s a place that has a deep connection with the mountain and the sea. Through this method to express the complicated relationship and situation between people. In this way to observe the things. Mountains are not just mountains. Scenery is not just scenery. The concept of “absent and present scenery was demonstrated from photo taking to my work creating process. A story and scenery can be seen closer or further, as if the distance between people. The contrasty brought the both side together into a picture that looks seem irrelevant, but somehow perfectly matching each other in a way. Those elements are close to the reality and inspired from our daily life. I used this concept and method with an intention to resemble a new fantasy world that can express the emotion and memories in my head. This essay is divided into five parts. The First Chapter is the statement of my intention, and the drawing methods i used for this project based on my study from MA program. And how I brought the style of my hometown with modern contemporary city, merge both together into my works. The Second Chapter, I started from studying my hometown and the silence I experienced from art creating process to the environment and situation of blurring and untouchable. Besides, refer artists who had used similar research methods from art history. The Third Chapter, it’s analyzed the content of my work and how it changes based on the situation of blurring among people, and discuss where will it lead me to. In the Forth chapter, will focus from the feature of the materials and the possibility of them on art creation to how I express my emotion of scenery on art pieces through the materials from an overlooking point of view. Besides, refer artists who had used similar drawing techniques in their works from the art history. For the last chapter, it summarize the journey of my artwork process inTUNGHAI University. And the change of my aspect to the life, and my expectations for the future.
