The development of home-stay was commercialized and specialized in recent years in Taiwan. Due to the construction of local infrastructure road and two-holidays-a-week life-style, the travelling types have transited from the mass tourism to smaller tourism of local experience. Managers of home-stay not only construct the ideal living environment, but also expand to construct the local environment. This thesis applies the concept of 「rurality」 which defines the rural space as a constructed environment. Regarding the 15 home-stay members of 「Country Home B&B」 as the research examples, this thesis observes and analyzes the construction of space of home-stays and its relationship with the local places. The constructed house-spaces of 「Country Home B&B」 show two kinds of 「home imagination」: one is home-situation management, the other is farm-like management. The former tries to embody the ideal space of rural living to build the commercial space to display the transformation of various cultural forms. The latter regards farmer’s homeland as a basic re-creation to increase or change the space of farming function and to preserve the characteristic of farmer’s home, and reproduce a medium for experiencing farmer’s life.As for the relationship between home-stays and local economy, the owner of home-stay externally acts as agent of a kind of tourist, and internally participates in community's activities with multiple role-playing ton construct themes of local experience, such as agricultural、ecological and cultural ones. It produces various kinds of recreation networks for tourist to contact local product and rural space, and through local guidance the relation between local network and local products can be developed. What the rurality means is to experience the recreation that symbolize the impression of rural space. The rurality home-stays construct is a result of tourism and commericialism. The members of 「Country Home B&B」expand the imagination of household to the local place, and idealize the rural impression.
