資訊是現代企業一個的策略性組成部分,它的有效管理已經成為一項對企業的關鍵性挑戰。電子資訊的容量不僅已經以空前的速度增長,對企業它的價值更是越來越大。不分晝夜的營運型態,無時間地域限制的電子商務,以及公司治理規章和合法授權的法律問題等全部對現有的資訊管理增加壓力。資訊生命週期管理是一個以企業為中心的策略透過資訊生命的觀念去預應式管理,從資訊的創造和到最終的處理使用。資訊生命週期管理系統可以主動透過數據分類提升用戶的資訊管理能力,集中管理,自動化,產品整合和以政策基礎來管理。而系統還是由人來使用才能達成它應有的功效,本研究針對系統與使用者的關係作一探討,在研究結果中發現與DeLone 和 McLean的資訊系統成功模型有所不同,但整體而言對企業還是有所助益。目前國內導入資訊生命週期管理的企業並不多,希望藉由本研究結果可以讓他們了解到資訊生命週期管理的好處,進而導入使用來提升企業的競爭力。 Information is a strategic component of modern business, and its effective management has become a critical business challenge. Electronic information has not only been growing in volume at unprecedented rates, its value to business has never been greater. Around-the-clock operations, electronic commerce, corporate governance rules and legally-mandated retention laws have all added to the pressure for better information management. Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) is a business-centric strategy for proactive management of information throughout its life, from its creation and use to its ultimate disposal. ILM could be enhancing enterprises’ information management capabilities through data classification, centralized management, automation, product integration, and policy-based management. The result of study with DeLone & McLean’s information system success model is different, but still benefits to enterprises. There are actually few enterprises that Introducing ILM at present. But it is hope that let them know the advantage of ILM with this result of study, let enterprises Introducing ILM to improve themselves competitiveness.
