    Abstract: 全球資訊網(World Wide Web)更甚於印刷術(Printing)是人類文明史上最重要的知識革命。建築在古騰堡(Gutenberg)印刷術發明前曾有肩負承載資訊(information)的使命;而在WWW發明之後,空間---網路空間,再度成為資訊的承載體。依據本論文的研究範圍定義,將傳遞在網路空間中的資訊劃分為「影像」與「聲音」兩大類。 劇本(Script) 本研究立基於「建築應當反映時代精神」(Architecture should manifest the Zeitgeist.)之態度,企圖以「數位工具」探討「網路」與「空間設計」的觀念與操作。 因此,本設計論文(thesis design)依循以下四個假設(hypotheses)開展: 假設 1. 藉由「電腦工具」和「網路」,可以引發網路空間的建築設計議題。 假設 2. 以「歷時性」結構的角度,可以將「瀏覽網路」、「看電影」類比「空間經驗序列」。 假設 3. 以電影「影音對位」的結構法則,可以形構空間。 假設 4. 每部電影在虛擬環境的領域,可以提供人與人,人、資訊、空間互動的場域。 本設計論文的目標在於測試並驗證以上四個假設,企圖導出回應當前時代特性的新建築類型。 場景1(Scene1):虛擬環境的設計議題 從某個觀點,建築一直在處理「材料」的問題。將「位元」(Bits)視為一種新興的建築材料(Material)是本論文的觀點。以20世紀末的位元對應19世紀的鋼鐵與玻璃材料,相信新的材料發明給予建築創新空間的契機。 場景2(Scene2):影音結構與空間序列 以真實/虛擬的辨證角度,類比(Analog)「瀏覽網站」(Navigating Cyberspace)與「看電影」(Seeing Movies),解讀「電影結構=影像結構+聲音結構+歷時性(Diachronic)」。歷時性正是序列的本質,而序列同為經驗空間與經驗電影的必要條件。 場景3(Scene3):影音對位建構空間形式的試驗 擷取「電影片頭」以△T採樣切片,解析並詮釋其「影像」與「聲音」的「對位結構法則」,作為形式生產(Form-making)的設計方法(design method),生產空間的「形式基型」(Formal Prototype)。 場景4(Scene4):Design Project 以「A Field for 『Fight Club』Movie Fans On-Line」為主題,由傳遞(transmit)在人與空間之中的資訊所點明的「網路社群」互動的議題,設定進入本網站的遊戲程式劇本,形構多人即時互動參與下的「空間形變規則」,展現「網路社群基型」(Social Prototype)之設計。 最後,本設計論文完成以「形式基型」(Formal Prototype)與「網路社群基型」(Social Prototype)二者所共構的「網路空間平台」設計---「A Field for 『Fight Club』Movie fans on- Line」,一種回應當前時代特性的新建築類型。驗證了作者的信仰:建築應當反映時代精神。
    The intent of the dissertation is to construct Virtual Architecture in Cyberspace, which consists of Archimusic, Zero-gravity and Interaction as three elements. In Chapter 1, it will introduce briefly the background, intention and purpose. In addition to that, the research topic, approach and process will be included in order to gain the purpose. In Chapter Ⅱ, it will discuss the definition of Archimusic, which is classified into Image and Sound subjects. The main focus in Chapter Ⅲ is to analysis the structure of Zero-gravity based on Image and Sound on internet (Virtual Environment). The result of discussion from ChapterⅡ and Ⅲ will be mortified in Chapter Ⅳ by setting a Formal Prototype as a main element for next chapter. In Chapter Ⅴ, it will design a project as the contribution of this dissertation, therefore, it will be divided into two focuses, one is editing the program script in order to set a Social Prototype in conjunction with the Formal Prototype being Interface between Archimusic and Zero-Gravity. The other one is to find some rules by running the script. In the end of the dissertation, a Platform will be created by Formal Prototype and Social Prototype to be the contribution of applying for future media tests on Internet. It also responses another kind of new century architecture typology and spirit.
