The aim of the thesis is to find the conditions under which only one, or both species, survive, with regards to a 2-species competing model of general form. Firstly, we use the Poincare- Bendixson theorem and Dulac's criteria to get sufficient conditions such that both species coexist. Secondly, we introduce a techinique to get sufficient conditions such that only one species survive.
