    Title: 碳/碳複合材料之抗氧化能力及其氧化後之機械性質探討

    Abstract: 太空載具在重返大氣層時其鼻錐和機翼前緣溫度可達1600℃,同時其渦輪部份可達1800℃。因此太空載具所選擇的材料必須在1800℃的溫度下,還能夠維持足夠的機械強度,並能夠忍受極大溫差的熱衝擊。在一般傳統金屬材料、陶瓷材料、高分子複合材料均無法滿足太空載具的環境要求下,1958年Chance Vought Aircraft Company Laboratory首先發展出碳纖維強化碳素之複合材料,此碳/碳複合材料的最大特色是機械性質不會隨著使用溫度的昇高而明顯的降低。由於碳/碳複合材料具有高溫無氧環境下能維持其機械強度的優點,且其所製成之零件在重量上遠比其它材料輕,漸成然而在有氧環境下碳/碳複合材料在500℃時會發生氧化現象,氧化現象造成碳/碳複合材料機械性質急速下降,進而影響到其用途。故本研究在樹脂內添加抑制劑抑制氧化及以脈衝式化學氣相沈積法進行鍍膜以阻止氧化,以期對碳/碳複合材料之抗氧化製程做一番深入研究,並研究氧化後之機械性質,試著去瞭解氧化重量損失率與機械性質之關係。在複合材料氧化後之機械性質方面,本研究發現隨著氧化重量損失率的增加,碳/碳複合材料之機械性質明顯下降。在複合材料之抗氧化能力方面,本研究發現樹脂內添加碳化硼有效抑制氧化,而在複合材料表面鍍膜也明顯有抑制氧化速率。
    The C/C composite oxidize at 500℃ in the oxygen environment. The oxidative phenomena will cause the significant decrease in mechanical properties and restrict the application of C/C composites. In this work, we try to inhibit the oxidation reaction by adding the retardant in the resin and coating anti-oxidation layer through pulsed chemical vapor infiltration. The objectives of this research are to study the processing parameters of oxidation protection of C/C composites and to investigate the mechanical pIn this research, we found that the mechanical properties of C/C composites significantly decrease with the increase of oxidative weight loss. The addition of boron carbide in the resin can restrict the oxidation reaction efficiently. The SiC coating on the surface of C/C composites can also reduce the oxidation rate.-1 -aThe Study of Oxidation Resistance and the Mechanical Properties after Oxidation of Carbon/Carbon Composites
