Through unpredictable spatial interventions, the struggle and constrains of daily life are released. If everyone can find their own reason to survive from here, life may not be full of difficulties anymore. In this study, I investigate the environmental issues and spatial characteristics of Taipei’s East End in order to find its possibility of redevelopment, and try to reinterpret the subtle interrelations and behavior patterns among people by an intention of architectural design .The five spatial characteristics I use in this study include fa?ades, entries, roofs, mezzanines, and paths. Each of them has its own spatial attributes that can cope with different environmental issues and piece up the image and atmosphere of Taipei’s East End . Through different prototypes and strategies, I create different developing possibilities for a space. These spatial interventions will offer a possibility to satisfy the demands of different groups of people, whom desire to release their struggle and constrains of daily life in Taipei’s East End .
