There have been many literatures on the community development in the field of social sciences, but the empirical evidence and discussion in the category of subculture are relatively insufficient. However, in practice, it is common to see that many sub-cultural communities are facing a dilemma in community development, so is the hardcore culture that researcher himself is involved in. Therefore, this study will use the case of hardcore culture to explore the interrelationship of community development and audience’s co-creation behaviors in the perspective of motivation. Not only does the current study echo the current literature of social development in subculture, but also some suggestion of community development to subcultural communities.Qualitative research method was conducted by in-depth interviews with people in different involvement levels in hardcore cultural community. The interview data are interpreted and summarized by the method of content analysis. Besides, on the basis of the integration of needs and common goals on community, community members' promoting participation will enhance the core connotation of the community's general identity, and will also affect the sense of community which would lead to the direction and kinetics of community development further.
